For the record, I hate reality tv.  I find it entirely obnoxious and dull, with too many commercials (wait, that's ALL network tv) and such obviously contrived non-reality-filled structures that it's a complete waste of my time.

However, when we heard that our dear friend Neal, long time friend of one of my choir alums (college girl who comes back for holidays) had made it past the first cut on America's Got Talent, I thought maybe I'd watch after all.
