Yesterday at Borders I succumbed to an impulse buy, but I don’t think it was a bad one…I don’t make a habit of purchasing movies I haven’t seen yet, but for Sweeney Todd I made an exception (and checked with my hubby first, who approved the purchase—we’ve taken to running the impulse buys by one another to make sure we’re not coming from left field somewhere. It helps). Enough people and reviewers loved it, and I love Depp and Sondheim and the show as a whole, so I figured it was a safe bet.

 

We watched it last night, and I decided (what the hell?) to post my first blog movie review. In fact, maybe I’ll take to reviewing all (both?) the new movies I see each year…(and no, I’m not going to be careful about plot points, so if you haven’t seen it, plan to, and don’t know the story, don’t read behind the cut.)
